ЕNTIA
14 sticks, food supplement
WHAT IS ENTIA?
ENTIA is a food supplement that contain the sugar D-Mannose, ExocyanTM Cranberry extract (Vaccinium macrocarpon) with standardized content of 50% PACs (proanthocyanidins), live lyophilized lactic acid bacteria with added prebiotics /inulin with oligofructose/ and Ascorbic acid, in recommended daily dose for dietary management of urinary tract infections and symptoms of disturbed vaginal microbiota balance.
WHY USE ENTIA?
Thanks to the natural ingredients in the composition, it is effective in the presence of symptoms of disturbed vaginal microbiota balance (itching, burning, increased discharge).
Lower urinary tract infections are very common diseases. Recurrent urinary tract infections remain challenging to treat because the main treatment option is long-term antibiotic prophylaxis; however, this poses a risk for the emergence of bacterial resistance. Some options to avoid this risk are available, including the use of cranberry extracts and D-mannose, Synbio (Lactobacillus Rhamnosus IMC501 + Lactobacillus paracasei IMC502), Lactobacillus reuteri LR92, Lactobacillus Plantarum LB931, Lactobacillus fermentum CS57, Inulin and Ascorbic acid.
One important property of E. coli is its adherence to the host tissue. The main protein structure related to this phenomenon is the adhesin protein, and its name is based on its shape: pili or fimbriae. Bacterial adhesion is accomplished by the binding of lectins exposed on the cell surfaces of these fimbriae to complementary carbohydrates on the host tissues. Pili are small filaments that enable bacteria to adhere to the host tissue; these proteins can be either mannose-resistant or mannose-sensitive. The mannose-sensitive pili, called type 1 pili, permit bacterial adhesion to the urothelium; the fimbriae are inhibited by recommended daily dose of D-mannose. D-mannose block bacterial adhesion on uroepithelial cells but also antagonize invasion and biofilm formation.
ExocyanTM is purely made of 100% cranberry extract with standardized content of A-type proanthocyanidins PACs that are showing maximum anti adhesion properties.
ExocyanTM is unique cranberry extract with positive impact on bacteria, reducing the urinary tract infections and decreasing recurrent UTI infections.
Possible mechanism of action is that the cranberry compounds, acting as receptor analogs, competitively inhibit the adhesion of E. coli to host cells by binding to the fimbrial tips.
Lactic acid bacteria (probiotics) are naturally present in the small and large intestines and are called intestinal microflora. They maintain the healthy acid-base balance necessary for the normal functioning of digestive enzymes, prevent the growth of pathogenic bacteria and affect intestinal motility (peristalsis) and the immune system. Probiotics (inulin with oligofructose) are sugars that cannot be broken down and used by the human body, but are absorbed by intestinal bacteria.
Synbio (Lactobacillus Rhamnosus IMC501 + Lactobacillus paracasei IMC502) proven:
adheres to the vaginal mucosa and creates a biofilm, produces lactic acid and regulates pH,
additionally maintenain and restore a normal, healthy vaginal microbiome. Such disorders can be a consequence of stress, after local use of antibiotics and antimycotics, disturbed immunity, pregnancy, menopause.
Ascorbic acid contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

medications. However, it is important to consult your physician or pharmacist about use of all medications, vitamins and supplements.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS FROM ENTIA?
There are no expected side effects from ENTIA. Studies have shown that the sugar D-mannose and ExocyanTM, a Cranberry (vaccinium macrocarpon) extract are safe and well-tolerated when taken at the recommended daily dose. In rare cases intolerance to D-mannose occurred in form of loose stool and flatulence.
WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DOSE OF ENTIA?
The recommended daily dose of ENTIA is 1 stick per day, dissolved in 100 ml cold water.
PRECAUTIONS OF USE:
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
While cranberry extract is generally safe, children or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take cranberry extracts, unless a doctor recommends it.
