Diabil

For normal blood glucose levels 30 gelatin capsules, soft Food supplement

Effective combination of two active ingredients

125 μg chromium picolinate
250 mg bitter melon extract
Chromium picolinate is a salt of chromium and picolinic acid with a standardized content of 12% chromium (trivalent). There are two other forms of chromium (nicotinate and chloride salts), but it is proven that chromium picolinate has best absorption and highest efficacy. According to the European Food Safety Authority chromium picolinate may be used up to 250 μg per day. In Macedonia recommended maximum daily intake is 150 μg.

Several studies have reported beneficial effect of chromium intake on glucose tolerance and/or lipid metabolism. Individuals with diabetes have altered chromium metabolism, compared with nondiabetic subjects, with higher chromium absorption, but also greater chromium excretion. Depending on the stage of diabetes, individuals with diabetes tend to lose their ability to convert chromium to a usable form.

Picolinic acid is an effective metal chelator that is synthesized in human kidney. Picolinic acid is a natural tryptophan metabolite that makes chromium picolinate one of the most bioavailable sources of chromium.

The plant Momordica charantia (bitter melon, chinese bitter pumpkin, momordica or karel) is liana grown and cultivated in the tropic regions of South America, Caribic, East Africa and other parts of tropic Asia. From the plant is used the fruit in nutrition and as medicine. From the ripe fruits are produced extracts which contain biological active chemical substances with steroid and protein structure.
