Active substances

Calmflex® 10%/5.4%/1.3% cream contains 10% methyl salicylate, 5.4% levomenthol and 1.3% eugenol (clove bud oil).

Action

Active substances in Calmflex 10%/5.4%/1.3% cream improve the blood circulation in the skin, leading to heating of the treatment area and reduce the pain at the site of application.

 

Therapeutic indications

Calmflex 10%/5.4%/1.3% cream is used for temporary relief of pain of muscles and joints associated with strains and sprains, neuralgia, rheumatism, arthritis, as well joints luxation.
It is also used for the relief of pains at minor sport injuries, only on intact skin.

Dosage and how to use Calmflex

Apply thin layer of Calmflex 10%/5.4%/1.3% cream and rub in on the affected areas. The procedure can be repeated after several hours (usually 3 to 4 times daily).

Contraindications

  • If you are hypersensitive to methyl salicylate, other salicylates, menthol/eugenol (clove bud oil), cetyl alcohol or any other ingredient.
  • Open wound, irritated or broken skin.
  • Do not use on children under 12.
  • If you are taking oral anticoagulants (warfarin, acenocoumarin, dicoumarol), because
    there is risk of bleeding.
  • If you are on anticoagulants, antiplatelet therapy, low molecular weight heparin and thrombolytic agents, because the chances of bruising and bleeding may increase.
